Responsibilities

  • Bring TuMee development in-house
    Refactored the iOS mobile application in small iterations to address poor performance and slow feature velocity. Did so by gradually fixing bugs, modularizing and improving naming of unreadable code, removing logical inconsistencies, and using built-in code where possible.
  • General software development
    Developed and maintained software at all levels in the tech stack: mobile app, backend APIs, server and database, and managing the cloud server.
  • Plan and execute changes to software across company pivot
    Planned and adapted changes to the software through a company pivot. Technologically this meant revisiting the core business services and updating the rules, developing a new mobile application to match the new branding, a new API to support the new functionality, setting up a new server with database; all this while reusing as much as possible from old business model.

TuMee pivot PROJECT PRIMO
Searches multiple on-demand delivery services to find the customer the cheapest or fastest deliveries available at a budget set by the user.
Powerful integrations
Postmates + Uber
TuMee utilized delivery providers to fulfill deliveries requested by our customers. A broker would determine the best service available based on the user's constraints and dispatch the delivery using one of our partners delivery APIs.

Slack
TuMee needed a way to notify our brokers of incoming deliveries, but we didn’t have resources to dedicate to building our own solution. The result, meet Brokerbot a slack bot used to notify TuMee brokers of incoming deliveries.

The Google Places API powered the address autocomplete functionality which provided a level of convenience for the users.

Facebook
Facebook provided analytics and social sign-in with future capabilities for a social aspect to TuMee.
Braintree Payments
Fulfilled al payment transactions for TuMee, utilized built-in payment UI for iOS app.
